This wedding took place at El Convent in Blanes, about an hour from Barcelona, set directly on the coastline. Amy and Thom travelled from Brighton for a destination wedding in Spain. The venue sits on the rocks, fully exposed to the sea. I worked there as a Barcelona wedding photographer.
Chapel Ceremony
The ceremony took place inside the chapel rather than outdoors. Guests stood close to the couple, with little space between them. At this El Convent Blanes wedding, the small chapel creates a warmer atmosphere and keeps everyone close. They are all in the same frame. It’s quite beautiful.
After the ceremony, we moved to the terrace that faces the sea. It sits right at the edge, what a view!

Outdoor Wedding Breakfast
Dinner took place on that same terrace, facing the sea. Tables were arranged in a single line along the edge, so everyone looked out rather than toward a central point.
Guests stayed spread across the terrace instead of gathering in one place, which changed how people interacted during dinner.
Catering was handled by Jubany Events.
