A wedding at This Must Be The Place

Jacqueline and Max came from the UK to get married at This Must Be The Place, a wedding venue near Vic, less than an hour from Barcelona. The house sits in a quiet valley, surrounded by sky and hills. It does not feel like a formal wedding machine. It feels more private than that, as if someone had lent you their house for the day.
This Must Be The Place was created by Jo and Duncan, a British couple who left the UK and built a different life around this house in Catalonia. That sense of personal choice is part of the venue’s character. You feel it inside the house and outside in the garden: nothing feels generic.

The first step after the ceremony

I opened this post with an image of Max and Jacqueline looking at each other, smiling with total complicity. A strong confetti photograph at the end of the ceremony is an absolute must. It is symbolic: the first step as husband and wife, surrounded by everyone. I have had the pleasure of photographing more than one wedding at This Must Be The Place, including another wedding at the same venue.
