Not wanting to take any chances on the English weather Brighton based Amy and Thom went for a destination wedding here in Spain.
El Convent Blanes is a cracking venue. It’s about an hour drive from Barcelona. It’s right by the sea attached to the rocks. On the day there was a beautiful blue sky stretching ahead.
Amy and Thom love doing things their own way. Instead of the usual outdoor ceremony they exchanged their vows in the small chapel. On the day the chapel was filled with anticipation and excitement. I had a great view from the front. it’s tight with little room to move but it doesn’t feel cramped. One of the best wedding ceremony I have ever shot.
Excellent catering was supplied by Jubany Events. I imagine food and wine to be also way up on the list for the reasons why many people choose to marry here in Cataluña. Tables were outside in one line facing the sea. (Details images from El Convent Blanes Wedding Photographer below)
As many of us probably do I love live performances . What a treat! Two professional flamenco dancers opened the dances. A sweet first dance followed.
What a cracker this wedding was! Definitely one of my finest. Very happy with the final images. Ceremony was probably the highlight. Although my favourite image is from the morning, from the preparation of the bride. The way I work has a lot to do with being at the right place just a few seconds before the right time as well as being at the perfect distance from the subject and this image reflects exactly that.
